Gifting
A gift that explains itself.
A vial of real Kashmiri saffron is a small object with a long story: three weeks of bloom on a plateau above Srinagar, a grower’s name, a lab report you can look up. It keeps for two years and suits the one person who is hard to buy for because they already cook well.

Is saffron a good gift?
It is one of the few food gifts that is genuinely rare, keeps for two years, costs under a dollar per use and has a story attached. A 2 g vial covers a year of weekend cooking; a 5 g or 10 g tin suits a serious cook or a household that makes biryani, kheer or kahwa often.
Can you include a gift message?
Yes. After you order, reply to your confirmation email with your message and we include a handwritten card with the vial at no charge. We can also leave the invoice out of the parcel.
Which size should I give?
For someone new to saffron, the 1 g vial. For a cook, 2 g or 5 g. For a wedding, a milestone or a corporate gift, the 10 g tin. Each pack prints the lot code, harvest month, grower and crocin number, which is what makes it feel like a gift rather than a grocery item.
Will it arrive in time for Diwali, Eid or Christmas?
Typical delivery is 5 to 10 days to the United Kingdom, tracked. Order 13 days before the date to be safe; in the fortnight before Diwali and Christmas we post cut-off dates on this page.
Can you ship the gift directly to the recipient?
Yes. Enter their address at checkout and your own email for the confirmation and tracking. Duties are prepaid for the US, UK, UAE and Australia, so nothing is collected from the recipient at the door.
